World Test Championship Points Table: India lost in WTC points table due to defeat in Lord’s Test

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team lost in the third Test match against England and lost. The host team won the exciting match and reversed the points table. The World Test Championship (WTC) has gained a big lead after a stunning victory in the third Test at Lord’s in 2025-27 points tables. In this match of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, all the results (including tie) were possible till the last session, but the hosts won by 22 runs.

In the first innings, the score of both teams was equal. England’s team was all out for 387 runs, in which Joe Root scored a century and Jasprit Bumrah took five wickets. India also scored the same score, this time KL Rahul scored a century and Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja fried Fifty. Chris Woakes also took three wickets.

In the last two innings of the match, wasting time, amidst controversies of sledging and ICC fine, Lord’s pitch became difficult for the new ball bowlers. Taking advantage of this, India all out the hosts for 192 runs. At the beginning of the fifth day, India’s score was 58/4 and the first hour invasion of Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer dismissed KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Ravindra Jadeja first formed a strong partnership with Jaspreet Bumrah and then Mohammad Siraj, but he remained slow on several occasions and resorted to luck, which ended at the end when Siraj’s weak rescue stumped stumps.
