These matches will be played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. 30 -year -old Iyer last participated in India’s Test setup during the domestic series against England in 2024. Since then, four have missed the Test series. After a poor start in the Dalip Trophy last season, Iyer showed 480 runs in five matches in the Ranji Trophy. This includes two centuries and his first first class double century.

Despite being out of the Test and T20I teams for a long time, Iyer has set the chart of the white ball on fire. Earlier this year, during the winning Champions Trophy at UAE, he was the top scorer for India and also dominated the IPL with more than 175 strike rates in its first 600+ run season.
