Due to continuous rains, the common people living in Punjab have suffered a lot. Out of 23 districts of the state, 12 districts have been affected due to this. People living in Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Hoshiarpur and Amritsar have been affected the most due to this. The state has received 253.7 mm of rainfall in August, which is 74 percent higher than normal and the highest in the last 25 years.
