Matthew Breetzke played a brilliant innings of 85 runs in 77 balls in the second ODI internationally played against England at Lord’s last night. Breetz may have missed a century, but now he has become the first player in ODI history to have scored 50+ in his first five innings.

He has left behind former Indian opener Navjot Singh Sidhu, who scored more than 50 runs in four consecutive matches at the beginning of his career. He made this record, firmly facing England’s aggressive bowling attack. He also hit seven fours and three sixes during the innings of 85 runs in 77 balls before being a victim of Jofra Archer.
