Earlier, Pakistan, batting first, scored 171 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs with the help of 77 unbeaten 77 off Fakhar Jaman and 37 unbeaten 37 in the lower order. Opener Sahibzada Farhan contributed 16 runs while Sam Ayub scored 11 runs. Wicketkeeper Mohammad Harris contributed 14 runs while Hasan Nawaz scored 4 runs. For UAE, Hyder Ali took the maximum 2 wickets, while Junaid Siddiqui, Mohammad Rohid Khan and Parashar took one wicket each.
‘Fakhar and Nawaz showed the best game’
After reaching the finals, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga said, ‘We made a good start in the powerplay, but lost many wickets in the middle. Fakhar and Nawaz played the best game. People do not give the respect to Fakhar which they deserve. He has been a match winner for the last 10 years. Today the ball took the most grip and turn. It was never a wicket of 170 runs, Fakhar and Nawaz would have to be given credit. Abrar is an excellent bowler and match -winning bowlers. The way he is bowling, we are excellent.
